FRAN LUSHENKO FIRST RECIPIENT OF NAEO EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE AWARD

We are proud to announce the first recipient of the National Association of Extradition Officials Excellent in Service Award was Frances “Fran” Lushenko. Fran received the award at the 2019 NAEO conference held in Roanoke, Virginia. She has worked for the Oregon Governor’s Office as the Director of Extradition Services since 1987 and has attended the NAEO annual conference since 1987, having held every position on the NAEO Board of Directors, presented at several conferences, and previously received the Elvyn Holt Achievement Award in 2006. Fran was selected to receive the new award based upon her inspiration, exemplary commitment, and her significant contribution to the welfare of and dedicated leadership to the NAEO.

The NAEO Excellence in Service Award was created in 2019. The award provides special recognition to an individual who provides outstanding and extraordinary service to the NAEO, above and beyond their dedication and service to the federal, state, and local levels of government involved in handling extradition, detainer, and other rendition matters.
